About Schriftlich

Schriftlich is a student-run bilingual journal exploring the interdisciplinary nature of the German language, culture, and influence through collections of student work on German-related topics. Journal submissions are open to all, not just German majors/minors, and can be submitted in German or English.

Journal submissions are open to all undergraduates, not just German majors/minors. However, submissions should pertain to a German-related topic. Acceptable submissions include, but are not limited to, the following: class works (any semester) that you want to showcase, articles on German current-events (example topic: Bundestagswahl); articles emphasizing Germany’s influence on various fields and industries (i.e., Germany’s influence on engineering); experiential works (i.e., sharing your experiences working/living/studying in Germany).

Accepted submissions will be featured on our website as part of our large, end-of-semester publication!
